Venom Trailer Reveals First Look At Tom Hardy's Symbiote Movie

We're speaking about Venom, the fanged black symbiote villain who first made a big-screen impression (courtesy of actor Topher Grace) in 2007's Spider-Man 3, and will soon be the focus of a full-length origin story in Ruben Fleischer's aptly titled Venom.

But people are mad that the first-look trailer for Venom... doesn't even show the title character.

The first trailer for Venom, the Spider-Man spinoff starring Tom Hardy, was released online on Thursday, and it's a darker, more subdued psychological thriller than a traditional Marvel movie. Obviously, they Eddie Brock to use for the experiment, as seen in the picture earlier in the article.

"Everyone's got their thing", he says.

In an on-set interview, Hardy gave us his word that he would do everything he can to "deliver the best Venom." Maybe it's a breakup? Whatever it is, you used to be one thing. Hello?" wrote one fan, while another said, "How can you tease the movie without showing the character? "Our own issues. Our own. demons". In addition to Hardy, Venom stars Michelle Williams as Anne Weying aka She-Venom, Riz Ahmed as Dr. Carlton Drake, Jenny Slate as Dora Skirth, Scott Haze as Roland Treece, and Woody Harrelson as an unknown character.

The film is set to be released in the United States on October 5, 2018.

Now, Venom is getting an entire film dedicated to his backstory. Unfortunately we only see that creature in a holding tank, as the full Venom suit is nowhere to be found in the teaser. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing along with Amy Pascal.

In fact, there is no trace in the trailer of Tom slipping into Venom mode.
