Champions League: Playoffs continue on Wednesday

The runaway Ligue 1 leaders face Real Madrid on Wednesday in the first leg of their stand-out last-16 tie but Cavani has attempted to play down expectations.

Their expensively assembled side have swept nearly all before them this term but overcoming the reigning European champions would be a big feather in their cap. With Lionel Messi, Barcelona are stronger. I am only thinking about the match. "I don't feel any particular pressure", a relaxed Zidane said at Madrid's Valdebebas training complex on Tuesday. "My future does not matter much".

0 - PSG have not progressed further than the quarter-finals in the last five Champions League seasons. His status as a club legend as a player is helping him keep the job at the moment, but only time will tell if that holds up if the French manager ends the season without a trophy.

It is impossible not to also see this tie as a confrontation between the global superstars on each side in Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.

His reputation was only furthered when Madrid brushed aside Barca over two legs in the Supercopa de Espana.

10 - Under Zidane, Madrid have won 10 of their 14 Champions League knockout games (D2 L2), lifting the trophy twice in as many seasons. "He's doing great stuff in Paris".

The last time the sides met at the 81,000-seat Santiago Bernabeu was in the 2015/16 group stage, with Nacho scoring the hosts´ victor.

Hakimi featured in Real's Champions League group games against Tottenham and proved himself a willing runner on the right flank.

The Champions League match between Real Madrid and PSG will be broadcast on live TV on Fox Sports.

"Perhaps our preparation began with that match".

"We're not going to change what people think of us, all we can do is work hard, and working hard is my passion", he added.

"Our coach is very close to the players, he has helped us a lot and continues to help us", said the Brazilian.

Recent signing Lassana Diarra is expected to come into the PSG line-up against the club he represented between 2009 and 2012.

Madrid's +12 goals differential in that period puts it equal with rejuvenated Italian champion Juventus and above the likes of Manchester City (+9), Bayern Munich (+8), PSG (+7) and Barcelona (+6).

As many as 1,800 police officers will be on duty to look out for trouble on what has been classified a "high risk" occasion.
