"I don't know", Mourinho said when asked if he could explain Lukaku's apparent struggles against big clubs.

"If we win, we are happy, but then there are 10 games to go".

United host Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday to kick off a run of four home games in their next five matches.

If Manchester United don't play this game on the front foot, taking the game to their opponents and showing attacking enterprise, the fans might have to recognise it will never be the case.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is under pressure to show a more daring approach and get the best out of Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez for a grudge match against Chelsea's Antonio Conte on Sunday. That didn't stop him starting the game against Sevilla from the bench - but with midfield options limited with both Herrera and Marouane Fellaini absent, a return to the starting XI surely beckons.

Conte chose to drop both Alvaro Morata and winter signing Olivier Giroud against Barcelona and when quipped whether the latter could start at Old Trafford, the Italian said, "I think Olivier is working very well with us, I am pleased because he will stay with us for a long time".

Manchester United reportedly reignite their interest in signing Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, who has been linked with a number of European football's biggest clubs. He is so involved with the happenings of his clients that he is reportedly the first one to call the managers when his clients don't play, which is why it is not out of the ordinary for him to do something like this.

"I see them on the sidelines very regularly and they are both very fiery and passionate, it has all the makings of a great fight".

"Chelsea have good players for sure and it's always good when you play against good teams".

Pogba was recently named among United's substitutes in their most recent game against Sevilla in the Champions League when he came on in the second half.‎.

However, former Arsenal legend Merson is backing Chelsea FC and Manchester United to share the spoils in the Premier League clash. The last time the two teams met, Chelsea had take a 1-0 victory with Alvaro Morata scoring from a header.

Juergen Klopp's Liverpool, only two points behind United, take on West Ham United on Saturday at Anfield having not lost at home in the league so far this season.

"I expect an open game because we want to win, they want to win for sure and it will be very interesting for the supporters".
