Nokia 8 Sirocco: a powerhouse with more than one Kryptonite

It also carries IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco price is said to be $920 or 749 Euros and will be available soon in Europe, Latin America, Asia and other countries very soon.

For starters there's a whole new design here with a single sheet of 3D-curved Gorilla Glass 5 that wraps around the sides and on all corners. On the front, there's a 2MP selfie shooter. And there's clearly emphasis drawn to the battery life, where it can go for more than 20 days between charges or 8 hours of making calls. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.

The smartphone has a 6-inch LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio which makes it a bit tall but feels 5.5-inch on the hand. There's a 3,800mAh battery powering this whole package, and the phone will launch in early April for €399 ($490 USD).

Perhaps the public should wait for HMD Global's presentation at the MWC 2018 next week to know about the latest Nokia flagships coming this year. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 is clocked at 2.2 GHz.

The handset also offers a rear dual camera setup with Zeiss optics, that is, a 12MP main camera with large pixel size and wide aperture for great scenic photography, and secondary 13MP telephoto lens for a 2X optical zoom. There's also an "ultra sensitive, wide-angle" lens on the front, for squeezing more of your mug into selfies.

It is a fixed focus camera with a f/2.0 aperture and again Zeiss optics.

What use is that on a feature phone, you might ask. The company has also introduced its first Imaging Suite, which adds Portrait, filters, adds mask, add character and more. It will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) out of the box.

The new Nokia 8110 feature phone will include apps such as Google Assistant, Maps and search, as well as Facebook and Twitter, and mark a return of the slider form factor. The phone will be available in Black and Banana Yellow colour options.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 835 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as standard.

The company is also taking a fearless step (in Apple's words it courageous), it's finally killing the 3.5mm jack. It will now continue to establish this strong-footing with the eventual release of the Nokia 1, followed by the ever-impressive and affordable Nokia 6. It comes with a 4.5-inch IPS display with FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution.
