Saudi Arabia: Women all geared up to get behind the wheel

Prince Mohammed's visit comes ahead of Egypt's presidential polls in late March, with Sisi expected to win a second four-year term.

He was received by President El-Sisi at Cairo airport.

Saudi Arabia has remained Egypt's biggest supporter since the Egyptian army ousted Mohamed Morsi, Egypt's first freely elected president, in a 2013 military coup led by al-Sisi.

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, arrived in Cairo on Sunday.

"The prince also emphasized the keenness of the Saudi kingdom and its continued resolve in supporting the Palestinian issue and the Palestinian people attaining their legitimate rights including those in east Jerusalem".

HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman conveyed the greetings of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to President El Sisi.

It is hoped the visit will strengthen relations between the two countries, as well as see discussion between the two leaders on a number of regional and global issues, and consolidating joint Arab cooperation.

Prince Mohammed and Sisi, a key regional ally, agreed in talks to bolster economic ties and launch joint projects, "particularly in the tourism sector on the Red Sea", said Egyptian presidential spokesman Bassam Radi.

They also agreed on solving the regional crises by political means.

Bin Salman's three-day visit to Cairo coincides with the signing of economic agreements between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, according to Egyptian media.

Wafa's report of the letter stands in sharp contrast to other reports in the past several months, which have suggested that the Crown Prince has adopted a position on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process biased in favor of the Netanyahu government.
