Alabama scored a thrilling 71-70 victory over Texas A&M on Thursday in the second round of the SEC Tournament.

There was plenty to take away from the game, not the least of which was their freshman point guard stepping up in a big way.

On the season, Alabama basketball averages 72.4 points, 36.3 rebounds and 12.8 assists per game.


Here's a look at the stunning shot that helped the Crimson Tide claim a 71-70 win over the Aggies in the SEC Tournament.

Starks led the Aggies (20-12) with 23 points while Admon Gilder had 15. The Longhorns are coming off a win against Iowa State in their opening tournament game on Wednesday.

"When we played them at home the first game (in December) that lineup with Donta and Galin playing together had a pretty decent plus-minus so we went with it".
