Phil Spencer Wants Xbox/PlayStation Cross Platform Play in Fortnite

On Thursday, Fortnite devs dropped a bomb on players, announcing that the blockbuster Battle Royale game would be coming to mobile devices very soon. Now that the sign-ups have opened, here is how you can participate in Fortnite Battle Royale iOS Invite Event. As Epic Games has claimed that Cross-Play will be available between PC and Mobile, things may get out of control for all the mobile users.

iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017 devices or later.

Epic Games say they are sending out invites as their services scale up to handle more players with the goal of maintaining a healthy player population.

The PS4 version of Fortnite supports cross-play with PC, Mac and the game's eventual iOS and Android versions.

The popular game, already available on a number of platforms, has now been released for iOS mobile users. The blog reads, "On phones and tablets, Fortnite is the same 100-player game you know from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac".

"Fortnite: Battle Royale" has a Pan European Game Information (PEGI) rating of 12, meaning it is not deemed suitable for children under the age of 12. Of course, Epic Games has not specified when this new feature will come into force, but hopefully it does not make you beg too.

Xbox has just inclined toward cross-play completely.

While it is a shooter game, the graphics are bright and graphic violence is not shown. In a new post on its website, Epic reaffirmed that Microsoft has been at the forefront when it comes to supporting cross-play.

Microsoft has previously expressed its desire to enable cross-play with PS4, which has been met with resistance from Sony. Plus, it will support cross play and cross progression between PS4, PC, Mac and Android, so you can rank up or party up from basically any platform under the sun.
