The impeccable lineup of smartphones which was teased by HMD Global at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona, Spain has been finally launched in India on Android One platform.

The Nokia 6 will be available from April 6.

Other than that, the Nokia 7 Plus runs on the Snapdragon 660 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which is, of course, expandable to 256GB using a microUSB card. For snapping selfies, it has a fixed focus 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The company's affordable entry-level Nokia 1 and larger Nokia 7 Plus will launch in Malaysia on the 10th of April 2018 (that's next Tuesday!).


As is always, the old must pave the way for the new, and the Nokia 6 (2018) packs some impressive internals and optimised software to keep up with competition from Chinese smartphone makers.

The smartphone could support an in-glass fingerprint reader, G-sensor, e-Compass, Gyro, Hall sensor, and barometer. It is assisted by 3260mAh battery with wireless charging and fast charging support.

Nokia 8 Sirocco comes with storytelling features including enhanced "dual-sight", ZEISS optics and acoustics with Nokia spatial audio.


- The new Nokia 6 does come with some noticeable visual changes compared to its predecessors such as the fingerprint sensor moving to the back and copper accents all around the chamfered edges, fingerprint sensor and rear camera module. The leak also reveals a picture labeled "camera revolution" of the upcoming Nokia 9 flagship by HMD. The device comes triple Zeiss camera setup wherein the rear optics consists of 13MP primary camera with f/2.6 aperture and 12MP secondary shooter with f/1.75 aperture. It must be noted that Nokia 9 will be featuring ZEISS-branded triple-lens camera setup which would be technically superior as compared to the Leica lens used in Huawei phones.

The phone has a surprising 3,800mAh battery that should ideally, according to HMD Global, last for 2 days on a single charge.
