National Football League trade rumors: Odell Beckham Jr. attends Giants offseason workouts

Lewis mentioned that he and Beckham spoke fairly frequently early in his career, but that Beckham began to reach out less and less.

That much Giants coach Pat Shurmur would say on the morning of the first day of the offseason program.

"I really believe Odell is a professional". "He wants to be great". We have a lot of people reporting about him, but it's always been the duty of elders to go back to help them. "I'm glad he's here today".

Ralph Vacchiano of SNY provided a breakdown of the rumors, noting teams were interested-including the Los Angeles Rams-but said it is "highly unlikely" the Giants would deal the receiver. "I'll talk to him and give my two cents on everything, but he's got to do what he feels is best for him to get ready and play at a high level".

This can still be taken as a display of goodwill, as players in Beckham's situation often don't bother showing up to team facilities at all.

First, video surfaced of what appeared to be Beckham Jr. holding a cigarette or cigar alongside a woman who had a credit card nearby a white powdery substance. The star receiver could, however, hold out for a new contract. "He knows what's expected of him". And until he shows up on the field in the fall (with the Giants or anyone), that speculation will continue.

Giants co-owner John Mara has been adamant in saying the franchise is not "shopping" Beckham.

Lewis also said, "I don't care about religion, I'm talking about a foundation. I look forward to Odell getting one day better". We can all learn from each other. "Quite frankly, I'm looking forward to the players challenging me to grow".

So did everyone else on the roster except right tackle Ereck Flowers, according to a source.

The reason for his absence is unclear.

Should Flowers' decision be seen as an act of rebellion over his looming move from left tackle to right tackle, perhaps trying to force his way to another team before a decision is made on whether to pick up his fifth-year contract option for 2019?
