BelAir Cantina Sorry It Couldn't Seat Giannis, Girlfriend Mariah After Win

BelAir Cantina Sorry It Couldn't Seat Giannis, Girlfriend Mariah After Win

After scoring 27 points and hitting the winning shot in the Bucks' thrilling 104-102 win over the Celtics on Sunday, Giannis Antetokounmpo was the toast of Milwaukee.

Some on social media, however, weren't so pleased. "Are you seriously trying to profit off not acknowledging a black customer (who inconveniently for the restaurant happened to be a famous athlete) despite according to numerous customers having open tables?"

With AP Photos.Giannis Antetokounmpo helped the Milwaukee Bucks win a playoff game but couldn't score a table at a Mexican restaurant. That tweet blew up - getting hundreds of retweets and likes - with people furious Giannis wasn't seated in a timely fashion.

A Twitter user posted a photo of the basketball star at the restaurant, saying Giannis waited 10 minutes for a table, but no one helped him so he made a decision to leave.

"Dude just won Milwaukee a playoff game!"

"'And the fact Giannis didn't go with the 'Do you know who the f*** I am?' on the entire restaurant only furthers his case for being the most likable superstar in the NBA", Barstool Sports remarked about the incident.

We are very sorry we weren't able to seat @Giannis_An34 in as timely of a manner as we would have hoped.

Giannis Antetokounmpo enjoyed his post-game repast at DiModa Pizza, about a half mile down the road.

Bel Air Cantina wrote on Facebook that it was honored that Antetokounmpo was present for a celebratory meal and expressed disappointment that the restaurant was unable to serve him promptly.

However, Milwaukee eateries are now on high alert for The Greek Freak and are capitalizing BelAir Cantina's flub. This was, however, apparently not enough to earn him the right to skip the wait at BelAir Cantina in Milwaukee.

The restaurant also pledged to give patrons a free taco with any purchase Friday should the Bucks close out the series Thursday in Milwaukee. Not only do the Bucks have to win Thursday, they have to win the series for people to get their taco.

First of all, when they say they wish they could have accommodated him right away, this is mumbo jumbo PR speak.
