Royal baby to be named Louis Arthur Charles

With the royal baby's name being announced as Prince Louis Arthur Charles, Disney have released an adorable Winnie-the-pooh sketch to commemorate the big news. He'll be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge. Prince Harry, who is now fifth in line to the throne, will be bumped back to sixth.

Middleton gave birth to an almost 4-kilogram boy at the St. Mary's Hospital, and of course, she and Prince William debuted the newborn at the steps of Lindo Wing before the family heads back to the Kensington Palace.

The name pays tribute twice over to Prince Charles, who has Arthur as one of his middle names.

'Prince Philip was also deeply devoted to Lord Mountbatten.

Former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson - a noted devotee of the Adidas brand - tweeted: "Young Louis welcome to the world".

"It's not a traditional Windsor name but it's very much an acknowledgement of a wider heritage", she said (via Daily Mail).

'But this is a name with a provenance'.

Princess Charlotte gets her first name from two places: It's her aunt Pippa Middleton's middle name, and it's the feminine version of her grandfather, Prince Charles', first name.

William and Kate shared the name with the Queen and the rest of their family before making it public.

Last night, the new prince's name had yet to be revealed, and it was unclear if William and Kate had even chosen one.

Mountbatten was the uncle of Prince Philip, 96, great-grandfather of the new prince.

The new royal bubs older brother, Prince George, and older sister Princess Charlotte, arrived shortly after to meet the new family member.

Louis is now the 71st most popular name for a baby boy in England and Wales - a long way behind George, which is in third place.

Kensington Palace made the announcement yesterday after a four-day wait.
