It's All Cowboy Drama in Latest Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer

Red Dead Redemption 2 will have multiplayer.

The trailer's YouTube description also provides plenty more details as to what players can expect the plot of the game will be. Yes, there seems to be no doubt that John Marston-another Van der Linde gang member-is back, and we'll apparently find out how he got those scars of his. However, arguably the most talked about game is Red Dead Redemption 2. While the gorgeous trailer has no gameplay footage, there are some interesting details scattered throughout. Some gameplay highlights include a much more involved hunting system (which now requires you to get clean kills for maximum value), a greater emphasis on your horse as a character (he can even carry more equipment for you), advanced animal AI, the return of gambling, a much-improved honor system that features moral complexities, the ability to perform more robberies (and be pursued for being too notorious), and so much more.

The main protagonist is Arthur Morgan who is part of the Van der Linde gang, who John Marston was also a part of.

The new trailer confirms the speculation, as it reveals that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be set in 1899, which is years before the events that transpired in Red Dead Redemption set in 1911. Much like Grand Theft Auto V, there's more randomness in Red Dead Redemption 2 than in the last game. Both bounty hunters and federal agents are on their heels, so they have to "rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive". "As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him", the description reads. Until then, let the fan theories begin.

This article will also be updated with any new relevant information, and a second story may also be published later today with a recap of everything we learned from these previews about Red Dead Redemption 2, so be sure to stay tuned for that.
