Oman draws Japan in tough Asian Cup group

India have been Drawn alongside hosts United Arab Emirates, Thailand and Bahrain in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup Finals. Thailand and India were also drawn in the group.

National team head coach Stephen Constantine was also present on the occasion.

Saudi Arabia and Qatar, now locked in a diplomatic dispute, have been drawn in Group E with Lebanon and North Korea.

Meanwhile, Group C features Asian giants Korea and China together, while Group D has pitted Iran and Iraq together.


The biggest-ever AFC Asian Cup is set to become the richest-ever edition after AFC President Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa announced the introduction of $14.8 million in total prize money.

Eight venues across the United Arab Emirates will play host to the competition, with Abu Dhabi's Zayed Sports City Stadium hosting the final on 1 February.

The War Elephants' quest to reach the knockout round of Asia's premier global competition - which kicks off on January 5, 2019 - will see them face off against UAE, India and Bahrain.
