Manager Juergen Klopp says Brighton match is a final for Liverpool

If nothing else, they are forcing Liverpool and Spurs to earn their place in next season's Champions League.

"Now there is hope". But our future is not in our hands. "We have to try to get three points to put pressure on the teams ahead of us". I don't know if this will be enough at the end of the season.

Liverpool have only one game left (against Brighton at Anfield) while Chelsea and Spurs each have two, as the race for top four continues.

"Now we have a final next Sunday, and that's how life is". In the meantime, he has one more game, a home fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion next Sunday, to secure the golden boot awarded to the Premier League's highest scorer. Did I think it would happen?

"I think we need to put into our minds that it is going to be hard until the end, until the last game, until the last minute against Leicester because we are in the Premier League and we are fighting against Liverpool, against Chelsea for the top four and they are both top clubs".

As things stand, Liverpool are still 3rd on the table with 72 points from 37 games, with Tottenham (71 points from 36 games) and Chelsea (69 points from 36 games) snipping at their ankles.

"We are winning and our opponents are dropping points", Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte was quoted as saying by BBC. "That doesn't sound like a holiday trip for me". The situation is very intense for the boys. "I'm very happy for the players and the fans".

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's 43-goal forward, was stifled by former Roma team-mate Antonio Rudiger.

Salah was unable to make a mark against his former side on Sunday in what was a frustrating afternoon for the Reds. Klopp said. "Or he waited for the contact, I am not sure, so that is not what I want to see, that is not what he wants to do".

"He can do much better. He has to be much better, he can do much better and he will score again, there is no doubt about that".

Sadio Mane's 25-yard drive forced a sprawling save from Courtois and from the resulting corner, the Chelsea keeper needed to be alert to stop Virgil van Dijk heading in from close range.
