Redmi S2: Xiaomi's new selfie phone to debut on May 10

The multi-core score is slightly higher than the Redmi Note 5 Pro's around 5000 score.

Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad has launched a new smartphone in India called as Coolpad Note 6. However, it must be noted that the specs of the Nokia X fall into the rumoured category, so one must take them with a pinch of salt.


The Redmi S2 will be offered in three configurations- 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM and 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM. The phone is available for a price of Rs 8499 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage model.

Speaking about the specifications, according to the listing on AliExpress.com, the Xiaomi Redmi S2 sports a 5.99-inch 18:9 display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. The Redmi 4's compact form factor, decent screen size, massive 4100mAh battery makes it a good value for money proposition. The inscription suggests that there will be some surprise - what will happen, it is not known, but the big "S" clearly indicates Redmi S2. Smartphone Redmi S2 running the Android operating system 8.1 Oreo with a shell MIUI 9. Its fingerprint scanner will also be placed on the back, and the same goes for the company's branding. The test scores reveal that the SND 638 will be more powerful than Snapdragon 650 chipset but not more than the older flagship-level SND 820 processor. The internal storage is 32 GB which can be expanded using microSD card. The Nokia 6 (2018) falls short on the SoC, RAM, and storage. On the front, the phone has an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device will be made out of metal, and it will sport a vertically-aligned dual camera setup on the back. The bottom of the phone is home to what looks like a USB Type-C port which is flanked by two grilles - one of which houses a speaker with the other housing primary microphone.


Coolpad Note 6 price in India is Rs. 8,999. In particular, phone on Android, and should appear in the line Redmi.
