Ken Jeong Helps Woman Who Suffered Seizure ... During His Stand-Up Set

If one has to require medical attention during a live show, Jeong's show is a safe bet as the actor began his career as a real-life doctor.

Comedian Dr. Ken Jeong performs during his appearance at The Ice House Comedy Club, Feb. 6, 2018, in Pasadena, Calif. A woman had a medical emergency during the show he comes to rescue her.

Heather Holmberg was in the audience and tweeted that Jeong initially thought the crowd was heckling him when they asked for help for the unidentified woman.

Comedian Ken Jeong didn't just play a doctor on TV.

TMZ was the first to report the incident Sunday, saying Jeong cleared the area and attended to the fan until paramedics arrived. It was such ideal timing: "Ken just jumped from the stage to help", says Holmberg, noting that the woman appeared to be having a seizure.

"He couldn't see what was going on with the lights".

Once he realised the woman needed aid Jeong jumped from the stage and assisted her, along with an EMT who was also in the audience. "We need you!' He realised there was an issue, and he came over".

While the woman's exact condition isn't known as of this morning, audience members said she was up and walking by the time paramedics arrived.

According to Holmberg, the audience member was having some kind of seizure.

Then he returned to the stage and finished his routine.
