Lethal Weapon Finds A New Co-Lead With Seann William Scott

Previously, there were two known instances of bad behavior on set, prompting him to release a public apology on Twitter. As the show got closer to cancellation, Crawford took to Instagram to apologize, but blamed his behaviour on the alleged safety hazards on set. "In the third season, series star Damon Wayans will be joined by Seann William Scott (the "American Pie" franchise"), who will play a new character who folds into a partnership with Murtaugh (Wayans).

The bad news is that the show will be returning without Clayne Crawford who played the role of Martin Riggs.

Fox Renews "Lethal Weapon" for season 3, but there's a controversial cast change in the works that has some fans seeing red.

"Seann is a fantastic addition to this already unbelievable cast", Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn said Sunday before Monday's Upfront presentations.

The drama behind the scenes of the Lethal Weapon show has been well-documented over the last few months, now Damon Wayans will stay in his role as Roger Murtaugh, with the show being renewed for a third season.

Sources tell THR that Warners opted to fire Crawford after he was disciplined each time for his poor behavior. But following his two counts of misbehaviour he has now been officially replaced, and the newbie will be American Pie actor Seann William Scott.

According to reports, Crawford was let go because of alleged "emotional abuse" of the cast and crew.

It will be the first network series role for Scott. Matthew Miller is the creator and showrunner, with Warner Bros.

Shortly after the news was revealed, social media exploded with tuts and hisses from viewers who are still totally Team Clayne.

Dang", he posted on Instagram alongside a photo of himself with an amusing shrug.
