Bale makes emphatic point after Champions League omission

Real Madrid have informed Manchester United, Liverpool and other clubs interested in their forward, Gareth Bale, that he would not be sold for less than £200 million.

The 25-year-old tried to continue but with just half an hour played, the Egyptian was substituted for Adam Lallana.

Liverpool's blundering goalkeeper Loris Karius was hit with a torrent of abuse last night after his two errors gifted Real Madrid a resounding Champions League victory.

They see Bale's remarks after the game as major encouragement to make a mega bid to bring the Welsh star back to the Premier League.

But the 28-year-old said after the match he will consider his options this summer because of a lack of playing time under coach Zinedine Zidane.

"I know if you say something like that after a game you lost, it sounds like you are a little bit a bad loser but it was, for me, kind of a harsh challenge", Klopp said.

"Obviously, I need to be playing".

"I was very disappointed to not be starting, I thought that I deserved to start, ' Bale said after the final".

Bale notched 21 goals and eight assists in all competitions this season, and although his fitness was again an issue for part of the campaign, he was nevertheless able to feature in 39 matches.

"I got over my ankle injury just around Christmas; it took until then to fully recover and now I feel like I am getting stronger, getting better, and that I have a lot more left to give".

The five-time Ballon d'Or victor has since netted 450 times in just 437 games for Real Madrid, and could win his fifth Champions League title against Liverpool this evening.

"It doesn't really bother me to be honest". I know I let them down.

"What can I say?" he said over the supporters' cheers.

Salah had been instrumental in Liverpool's unexpected run to their Champions League final since 2007.

But Real Madrid would want more than the £89m they paid for him five years ago - and could want as much as DOUBLE what they paid for him.

"And to win four, to go to Real Madrid, and be so successful, he's got to be the best".
