Kanye West Is Live Streaming His New Album Right Now

Features include spots from Ty Dolla $ign, Valee, Jeremih, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Young Thug, Charlie Wilson, Kid Cudi, John Legend, and 070 Shake.

West was joined at the "Ye" album party by 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Nas, Fabolous and Lil Yachty. It's yet to make it's way onto streaming services yet, but fans who stayed up to the wee hours and downloaded a bespoke app were able to stream the album along with the rapper and his pals. "No Black man has taken more advantage of his freedom than Kanye West".

Kim Kardashian West revealed in a tweet that Kanye snapped the cover art for his eighth album, Ye, while on his way to a listening party for the record in Wyoming. He mentioned the ongoing drama between his sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian and her baby's father, Tristan Thompson.

The 7-song, 23-minute album is an alarm alerting that the Kanye bubble has burst. "If I pull up with a Kerry Washington, that's gon' be an enormous scandal", from "All Mine", is a clunker of a line, even coming from the guy who struck internet-meme gold by rhyming "croissant" with "French-ass restaurant". "And I'm just the person to do it". That's my superpower. N***a ain't no disability.

"Today I seriously thought about killing you", he raps. The gratuitous Stormy Daniels reference on "All Mine", in particular, reminds me of the shittiest aspects of Twitter, with people desperately trying to co-opt trending topics regardless of whether they have anything to add-it nearly makes me feel sorry for peerless Chicago rapper and GOOD Music signee Valee, who's also on the track.

Despite the controversies, fans are reacting positively to "Ye".
