Cristiano Ronaldo has potential landing spots narrowed down

The widespread rumours about Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid are refusing to die down.

Ronaldo has hinted at a move away from Madrid, despite confidence from those in the corridors of power that he will stay, while Neymar has been linked with a return to La Liga since trading Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017.

Reports emanating from Spain suggest that Manchester United are preparing a club-record bid to bring back Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.

Reports also indicate that Ronaldo believes Real Madrid have not supported him well enough with regards to a potential court case surrounding image rights.

Manchester United will resist selling David De Gea to Real Madrid this summer, according to Duncan Castles.

"Madrid always have to find the best players and I think Neymar will play for Real Madrid one day".

However, the Spanish top flight's president feels the league would recover from the loss of Ronaldo, although he does not want to see the 33-year-old go.

The futures of Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar and five-time Ballon d'Or victor Ronaldo are dominating headlines heading into the World Cup in Russian Federation.

This story comes on the back of claims from Spanish TV football programme El Chiringuito, which state that Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, was left dissatisfied after recent showdown talks with the Madrid hierarchy.

Meanwhile, the Ream Madrid's long-serving full-back told reporters while readying himself for World Cup duty alongside Neymar that Ronaldo has no say on Neymar's future at Madrid.

Manchester United's Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho recently said that having Ronaldo in the squad gives Portugal an edge at the World Cup.

The reigning Ballon d'Or victor claimed he will be talking about his future in the days to come, but is yet to reaffirm the club's fans that he is staying in Spain for another year.

Speaking after the Champions League final last month, Bale said that he would "seriously consider" his future at Real.

Similar reports of Ronaldo leaving Real had emerged past year as well after the Spanish club beat Juventus 4-1 in the final.
