Harden and Durant not safe if LeBron enters free agency

Harden and Durant not safe if LeBron enters free agency

Inside a almost silent Cavaliers locker room at Quicken Loans Arena, the scene felt like the end in more ways than one. But reality has kicked in, and after the lack of effort the Cavs put in to help Lebron take this title, his time has come to leave. Most of his teammates sat quietly, still in uniform, at their lockers.

Where will James go next?

He shared some quick thoughts about it after Game 4 of the NBA Finals was in the books on Friday, with the Warriors sweeping James and the Cavs.

"I have no idea at this point", James said at the podium after Game 4 ended. His eighth straight appearance didn't go well, either, and now there's uncertainty where the superstar will play next as he faces free agency.

"I hope he stays", Tyronn Lue said.

"At the end of the day, for me, staying around the game, being around the game will be something I'll probably do for the rest of my life, either while I'm playing for this later stage of my career, advising people in the National Basketball Association or whatever the case may be".

As Zach Lowe of ESPN laid out, there is a possibility that Love doesn't get moved in response to James leaving Cleveland. His passive play was shocking and in the decisive third quarter it was if James was saying "do you see what I have to work with?"

"Anything is possible", Love said.

But when it comes down to it, he also knows there will be one final decision-maker. But I like to be here. "Always wanted to win here". "It's just a great feeling (to win the championship)". Furthermore, they also did not know who would advance in the Eastern Conference between the young, well-coached Boston Celtics or the cyborg known as LeBron James and his Cavs.

"At the end of the day, I came back because I felt like I had some unfinished business... it ended a drought for Cleveland of 50-plus years, so I think we'll all remember that in sports history."

The possibility remains that Cleveland could retool and make another run, but doing so would require some serious creativity. No other team has had two different players named First Team All-NBA.

For LeBron James, it is a sixth career defeat in the NBA Finals, with the latest loss a disappointing way to finish an otherwise outstanding season from a personal point of view.

In the third quarter, the Cavaliers were outscored by Curry and Klay Thompson (who combined for 15 points) as they posted just 13 points in a demoralising display.

So is this end in Cleveland? I had emotions of you just don't get opportunities like this on the road, versus Golden State, to be able to get a Game 1.

"Sitting down and considering everything but my family is a huge part of whatever I decide to do in my career and they will continue to be that".
