Putin says willing to meet Trump whenever US is ready

The Chinese president said the three countries should push the construction of the China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor, actively explore cooperation in areas such as infrastructure interconnectivity, and promote sub-regional cooperation in adjacent areas of the three countries.

"Everyone demonstrated solidarity with London over a certain event in Salisbury but nothing concrete was said again", Putin said.

He said that the United States exit from the nuclear deal warrants an "important and serious discussion between our two countries".

Canada is flatly rejecting Donald Trump's suggestion to reinstate Russian Federation in the G7, four years after it was expelled from the group of industrialized nations for annexing Ukraine's Crimea.

"Today crystallises precisely why Putin was so eager to see Trump elected", said Ned Price, a former Central Intelligence Agency analyst and the National Security Council spokesman under then-President Barack Obama.

The "historic" Korean reconciliation of the Korean peninsula and the upcoming bilateral talks between United States President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un were also mentioned in Putin's statement.

"We did not (choose to) leave it, our colleagues refused to come to Russian Federation due to known reasons at some point", Putin told reporters at a briefing in the Chinese city of Qingdao, Reuters reported.

Lavrov said Russian Federation is "working fine in other formats" such as the Group of 20, TASS state news agency reported.

The most powerful Russian and Chinese leaders in decades, Putin and Xi have forged closer ties as Trump has labeled both countries economic rivals that challenge U.S. interests and values.

"As soon as the American side is ready, this meeting will be held immediately, depending on my work schedule", Putin said.

"But I believe it's a technical issue", he said.

In the United States, Trump's comments drew criticism from some fellow Republicans, including Senator John McCain, who slammed Trump for treating Putin with "the deference and esteem that should be reserved for our closest allies".

He added that Russian Federation was ready to "develop, deepen and normalize ties with the United States", noting that the next move was for Washington to make. And in the G7, which used to be the G8, they threw Russian Federation out.

"And in the G7, which used to be the G8, they threw Russia out - they should let Russia come back in because we should have Russia at the negotiating table", Trump added.

"We are pro-Italian, not pro-Russia", Di Maio told a radio interviewer, while stressing that Conte would make his own decisions when representing Italy on the world stage.

"Russia stands for the consistent, rigorous implementation of the JCPOA and would continue to honour all our commitments", Putin further said.

"The Qingdao summit is a new departure point for us", he added.

As trade grows, the two countries are promoting settlements in ruble and yuan, bypassing the USA dollar and other Western currencies.
