England make low-key arrival in Russian Federation with Marcus Rashford's injury concern

England make low-key arrival in Russian Federation with Marcus Rashford's injury concern

England face Tunisia on June 18 and also play Panama and Belgium in Group G.

The showpiece event in Russian Federation will be Kane's first World Cup, having previously played for England at Euro 2016 and in the 2015 Under-21 European Championship, but the Tottenham striker wants to break his duck of never scoring at a major tournament.

Captain Harry Kane and co. will be based in Repino to put the finishing touches to their World Cup preparations before trekking the 1,700km to Volgograd, one of Russia's most historic cities, on the banks of the River Volga. France and Portugal are other possible opponents at this stage - as are England's Euro 2016 conquerors Iceland.

"Personally, that (scoring) record is something I want to change, and hopefully will this summer", said Kane. "We have a lot of attacking flair that can do some damage". In the end, we want to entertain where we possibly can. "I've felt that there are different ways to bridge that - the most important is the way you play, and your performances and your results".

"I'm confident it won't happen - I won't say 100 per cent because you never know in football - but in this team we wear our heart on our sleeve".

"I'm always happy to be able to play with him, we do not meet so often", he added.

But Southgate insists that his players are primarily determined to entertain and ensure that England at least enjoys a feel-good factor during the tournament.

"For us it is about working hard and training hard until the game, then going out there and having some fun".

"Marcus took a slight knock, but nothing too serious, so we will have a look at that ahead of tomorrow's session which is open for everybody to see, but other than that, everybody came through fine", Southgate said in an interview with BBC Sport at St Petersburg airport.
