EDM Reacts To The Death Of XXXtentacion

On Monday, the rapper had been at RIVA Motorsports checking out inventory, when he was shot.

Authorities in Florida say they're searching for two suspects in the fatal shooting of rapper-singer XXXtentacion. Dispatch audio indicates the incident was possibly a drive-by, with the alleged shooter or shooters having potentially left the scene in a black Dodge Journey, Chevy Tahoe, or Jeep Grand Cherokee. Prosecutors also accused him of witness tampering, saying he also coerced the woman, which landed him in prison in December 2017. At least one of the men opened fire, mortally wounding him before fleeing in a dark SUV.

Stephanie Martinez, a 29-year-old mother who lives in the neighborhood, was just coming back from the pool with her kids when she heard three shots.

The controversial rapper was also plagued by legal issues, having faced charges of gun possession, robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

The rapper has a history in San Diego. "You will be missed and I'm sorry you're gone #XXXTENTACION".

His music had briefly been taken off Spotify's official playlists under the service's "hateful conduct" policy in response to allegations that he attacked his girlfriend while she was pregnant.

In March, as his second studio album debuted at No. 1, XXXTentacion was released from house arrest so he could tour. "I just came to the point like, 'I gotta help this kid'".

In addition to musicians, fans of the late artist shared tributes to XXXTentacion on social media.

In a social media livestream from past year that circulated after the shooting, he considered his own mortality and spoke about what he hoped his legacy would be. "I never told you how much you inspired me when you were here thank you for existing". "Your mind is limitless.you are worth more than you can believe".
