Senegal Manager Aliou Cisse Is The Coolest Man At The World Cup

That's what the BBC is reporting about fans of "Samurai Blue", the Japanese national soccer team that beat Colombia's players 2-1 Tuesday in Russian Federation.

But while fans of most victorious (or indeed losing) nations may have followed up with rowdy celebrations and heavy drinking, clips have emerged of both sets of supporters cleaning up after themselves by removing stadium clutter post-match.

Senegal fans were then filmed following suit at Moscow's Spartak Stadium.

As seen in videos, supporters of the "Samurai Blue" carried waste bags and roamed around the stadium to pick up all sorts of the litter left by spectators.

Their good manners did not go unappreciated by people on social media.

Japan-based soccer writer Scott McIntyre told the BBC that cleaning up after yourself following a sporting event was "not just part of the football but part of Japanese culture".

Fans at the 2014 tournament in Brazil were also praised for similar civic-mindedness, even as their team failed to win a game and crashed out in the group stages.

But Japan made the ideal start to their World Cup campaign, becoming the first Asian country to defeat a South American team at a World Cup and earning three points in what is expected to be one of the most closely-contested groups in the tournament, with Poland and Senegal the other two nations in Group H.

Senegal beat Poland in their first Group H encounter, while all other African teams have lost their games so far.

Not bad, Senegal and Japan.

Do you think Senegal are the best African team at the World Cup?
