Walmart lists 'Impeach 45' shirts & baby onesies, boycott threatened

CBS News says Walmart has been selling "Impeach 45" baby onesies and men's T-shirts, both made by the apparel company, Old Glory, on its website.

Supporters of President Trump are angry at Walmart for selling shirts that call to impeach Trump. One shirt mirrors an anti-Hillary shirt and says "I'm really Donald Trump, don't let this "human" costume fool you", and another reads "Trumpty Dumpty: We need a wall". Other impeach Trump items were also available via, as were items bearing the president's signature "Make America Great Again" slogan. It was sold on its marketplace, which features products by many brands, and includes political t-shirts representing many different points of view. Trump supporters, as you would imagine, were not pleased and the call for a boycott began.

Walmart is in consumer crosshairs after shoppers discovered the retailer's line of "Impeach 45" apparel.

Walmart has not commented on the merchandise.

To be fair, however, Yahoo Lifestyle points out that Walmart has pulled other merchandise on similar grounds. The continued sale of the clothing items and whether or not a widespread boycott of Walmart catches on has not yet been determined. It pulled merchandise branded with "Bulletproof - Black Lives Matter" after complaints from the National Fraternal Order of Police, and previous year it removed T-shirts emblazoned with "Rope".

But the accusations miss a crucial fact about how Walmart runs its website, or more specifically, its third-party marketplace, where the items appeared.
