Elon Musk Sends SpaceX Engineers to Save Trapped Thai Soccer Team

It is unclear if Musk's solution will work, but we suppose any and all help is appreciated. The magnanimous founder of Tesla, Space X, Boring Company Elon Musk replied within a couple of hours expressing his will to help the boys.

The real-life Iron Man Elon Musk wills to help the 12 boys and their soccer coach trapped in a cave for nearly 14 days.

A spokesman for The Boring Company, which Musk founded in 2016 said: 'We are speaking with the Thai government to see how we can help, and we are sending SpaceX/Boring Company people from the U.S. to Thailand today to offer support on the ground.

The last video shows the process of removing the submarine from the pool and the team unlocking the door, before the passenger, arms crossed, slides out.

Musk has been following the story of the soccer team, tweeting his thoughts and offering to assist the Thai government in any way he could over the past week.

"Continue to be amazed by the bravery, resilience & tenacity of kids & diving team in Thailand", Musk said in another tweet.

In one tweet, he suggested that a tube or series of tubes be sent through the cave network and inflated, creating a tunnel for the team to travel through without needing to scuba dive.

"Light enough to be carried by 2 divers, small enough to get through narrow gaps".

"Two air tank connections on front and two on rear, allowing one to four tanks simultaneously connected, all recessed for impact protection [with] secondary cap seal if leak develops", Mr Musk said.

Musk previously proposed using a double-layer Kevlar pressure pod or a long inflatable air sock to penetrate the narrow passageways and provide a rescue conduit.

The youth soccer team, aged between 11-15, went missing on June 23 along with their 25-year-old coach.

Meanwhile, rescuers have a dwindling window of opportunity, with forecasters predicting the return of heavy monsoon rains in the coming days, effectively sealing off the cave until October.

In addition to sending assistance, he's been brainstorming ideas for how to improve conditions in the incredibly complex cave system where the boys and their coach are trapped.
