Pogba's agent in Manchester to unlock Frenchman's move to Barcelona

Pogba's agent in Manchester to unlock Frenchman's move to Barcelona

Manchester United have rejected an unexpected offer from Barcelona for midfielder Paul Pogba. The Catalan club are working on deals to sell Aleix Vidal, Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes and Paco Alcacer to raise the funds to bring in the World Cup victor.

The situation has not been helped by Mourinho's negative comments about Pogba's success with France at the World Cup, made on several occasions during United's recent tour of the USA, that went down very badly with the player.

It seems inconceivable that United would let go of their record signing, and Pogba's camp accept it will be hard to complete a deal before the transfer window closes.

The Red Devils paid big money to snare Pogba away from Italian champions Juventus two years ago, but he has been subject to criticism at Old Trafford, while there are also question marks over his relationship with Jose Mourinho.

Paul Pogba is integral to how Manchester United operate, both on and off the pitch: he is a key player in the centre of midfield and often orchestrates the play; off the field he is seen by United as central to their commercial plans.

"Pogba is a great player, who is on another team and we are always very respectful of the players on other teams", he declared.

Reports have emerged in recent days that super-agent Mino Raiola has been touting his client around.

But this isn't the first time the 25-year-old's future at Old Trafford has been in doubt.

"I don't think it's about us getting the best out of him, it's about him giving the best he has to give", Mourinho told ESPN last month. Because it's closed for a month, where he can only think about football.

And super-agent Mina Raiola has placed an offer on Barcelona's table which the Catalonian club are prepared to settle with.

With Mourinho known for not staying at a club for longer than three seasons, fans seem to be wary ahead of his third campaign at United.
