Samsung's Galaxy Home Speaker is too little too late

Samsung's Galaxy Home Speaker is too little too late

The new handset features a range of new high end enhancements, but analyst opinion is divided over whether the new phone will satisfy customers ahead of more extensive updates expected for next year, or whether it will prove to be too expensive to gain much attention from users. But while earth-shattering new features are in short supply, it will carry an earth-shattering price tag: $1,000.

"The Galaxy Note 9 boasts the very best performance with the specialized S-pen, as well as the intelligent camera".

Samsung is also working on the 5G phone project.

"We want to hear that Samsung Electronics made a quality product when we showcase a foldable phone on the market", Koh said, claiming the release is getting closer. However, Samsung has been making a regular appearance at the MWC trade show so, in 2019, the Korean smartphone manufacturer will no doubt be showing up there and officially launch the newest flagship series.

"We hope the sales (of the new device) will outpace the Galaxy Note 8", Koh said.

"The Note9's 4,000 mAh battery directly addresses a key consumer pain point - consumers buying a premium phone want to be able to use it all day long". In fact, sales of Samsung's flagship Galaxy S phones from the first half of 2018 have been so low that they're expected to be Samsung's worst-selling Galaxy S phones since 2012. "We look forward to providing our customers with a sense of leisure and comfort knowing that this new addition to our ecosystem of connected devices is also packed with features to help them stay entertained".

For its camera, the Samsung Galaxy S10 will have five - three on the back and two on the front.

Samsung went "bold" with the Galaxy Note 9 colors this year, offering four colors - Metallic Copper, Midnight Black, Lavender Purple and Ocean Blue. The Galaxy Note 9 will be available in 128GB and 512GB variants for INR 67,900 and INR 84,900, respectively.

"We're three generations removed now", Samsung's director of USA product marketing, Suzanne De Silva, said of the company's renewed confidence in the battery.

Samsung plans to provide more details on its first AI speaker, the Galaxy Home, which is equipped with Bixby, in November at the developers' conference.

Samsung also announced a new smartwatch and a partnership with Spotify meant to make it easier to switch music playback between phones, TVs and the company's new speaker.
