Unai Emery demands 'personality' from Arsenal players - Premier League 2018

Unai Emery demands 'personality' from Arsenal players - Premier League 2018

Arsenal head to the game following a 3-2 victory over Cardiff City in their last EPL game.

Meanwhile, Newcastle may be forced to rest Salomon Rondon and DeAndre Yedlin after they made a late return from global duty with Venezuela and the USA national team respectively.

Midfielders Matt Ritchie and Jonjo Shelvey are back in training after respective thigh and knee injuries, and could feature.

'We've got good, strong players, ' he sad.

"I have a very good relationship with Mesut and professionally I push him for improvements to give us the best in his qualities and performances".

Arsenal coach Unai Emery has called on Mesut Ozil to be more of a scoring threat going forward, as the Spaniard continues to search for the best way to use the German playmaker.

"Firstly we need to win and I think it is very important that in the last match we won", the Spanish manager told reporters on Thursday.

"Mesut, like other players, works very well here and also working the ties and also together to improve things".

"Every conversation with him is speaking about us and about our work here every day", he said.

"Mesut, I look at him with the focus totally here".

"Saturday is another step, it will be hard but I want to continue [to show] our personality and impose this on the opposition".

But after two wins under their belt the Gunners should be feeling a little more confident, but this will be another big test of whether the team have come to terms with Emery's tactics. The tactics have to be right. Things like that can happen in every game, and that's why football is so hard.

We certainly hope they find the win as well, and we really could do with another away win to give us belief that we can still make the Top Four, and to be honest anything less than three points at troubled Newcastle would be unacceptable to the fans.
