"Two keepers wouldn't have saved it!" - Fans react to Daniel Sturridge stunner

Not only has he been picking up results, but his side have looked good on the eye with Eden Hazard shining above anything in the Premier League so far this season.

Liverpool will be thrilled to have avoided defeat, especially given the games to come next week: a trip to Napoli in the Champions League, and a showdown with City at Anfield.

Hazard's well taken goal against Liverpool, a league-high sixth for the campaign, very almost earned Chelsea all three points and was the highlight of another excellent performance.

Substitute Daniel Sturridge's sensational strike a minute from time preserved Liverpool's unbeaten start to the Premier League season as Jurgen Klopp's men salvaged a 1-1 draw at Chelsea on Saturday.

"It's a team game and I just give my best [in] any minutes I get".

Sturridge is now Liverpool's joint-top goalscorer for the season, alongside Sadio Mane, with four goals in seven appearances.

Chelsea, with Hazard in unstoppable form, look capable of sustaining their title bid, while Liverpool now go into next Sunday's top-two clash against leaders Manchester City knowing that they have emerged unbeaten from another tough test of their credentials. I love to win, but getting a point at Chelsea is good anyway.

Maurizio Sarri's men saw their flawless start to the season end last Sunday, following a 0-0 draw at West Ham.

Hazard has sometimes been accused of selfish play on the pitch but the Belgium worldwide insisted he always tries to assess the situation. "When he came into the dressing was really loud and the boys are all really happy for him because he really is in a good moment".

"I'm really very happy with the defensive performance of Hazard today, especially in the second half", Sarri told a post-match news conference.

He added: "What a game, a spectacular football game". You could see the first ball he missed a bit it was not in the right position, and the next ball he passed! Why? "Maybe they [Liverpool] are one step ahead but I am starting to think we can recover in one season".
