Manchester City remain unbeaten in the Premier League

Pep Guardiola insists next weekend's highly-anticipated clash with Liverpool will not affect the way he sees his Manchester City team.

The Catalan coach said: "He's played really well in the last games".

Pep Guardiola's side have scored eight goals in their last two games, without conceding once, and will be eyeing another comfortable win against the Seagulls.

City were not expecting him to be available until late November, but his return could well come before this month's worldwide break.

It looks unlikely either Delph or Mendy will feature in Germany, meaning Zinchenko - who filled the role on occasion last season - is tipped to do so again.

The France global is out with a foot injury and will miss Saturday's Premier League match against Brighton.

"Sergio is struggling a little bit with some problem in his foot, he is not 100 per cent", said Guardiola.

Aguero guaranteed City would take the points when he finished off a neat one-two with Raheem Sterling to score his 15th goal in City's last 11 Premier League games at home. "Now we have two games before the global break, hopefully, he can do those and, after, make a final recovery".

"They [players] know that they have to be here on time". "With that spirit, the way we play, everybody is focused".

"He needs to go step by step, don't read too much, watch too much, train hard and his career will speak for himself", Guardiola said.

"The players should be here and he knows it". It's a long time ago Man City was able to win at Anfield. "Now he's injured I hope he recovers well because he's an important player for us", the Portuguese worldwide told reporters.

"We can not forget Aleks [Zinchenko] helped us a lot last season and played really good". At the end, we're going to see what happened at the end of the season'.

"Now it's Hoffenheim [on Tuesday in the Champions League], and after that we are going to prepare [for Liverpool], and after that we're going to prepare for Burnley".
