NFL Week 5 Odds on FOX: NY Giants at Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers kicker lined up for a 63-yarder Sunday in Charlotte with time winding down against the New York Giants and his team trailing 31-30.

For example, late in the third quarter, Panthers wide receiver Devin Funchess was going for a catch when he was surrounded by Giants in the secondary, and safety Landon Collins made an excellent play on the ball to force an incompletion.

After the game he discussed his decision to bring the protest from (generally thought of as progressive) San Francisco to (generally thought of as not) Carolina.

Now that he's with Carolina, will he protest during Sunday's national anthem?

Meanwhile, Reid said this week he hasn't decided whether he will protest before the game.

One of the NFL's biggest stars isn't happy about being left out of the party as offenses are putting up eye-popping numbers all across the National Football League, and one target of his dissatisfaction is his team's quarterback.

Newton is probably the most multitalented quarterback in the NFL.

"Everything outside of football, I'm pretty sure as the teammate that I've always been, I'm going to stand by him", Newton said.

Odell Beckham Jr. wants the pressure on him. He's not - we know Eli's not running it.

It has been said often but it's worth repeating: Cam Newton is a large man.

The Boss was spotted at Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, New Jersey watching the Giants game with friends. "I haven't been in the place where I felt like I could really go out and do everything that I'm capable of doing", Beckham told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

ON THE RUN: Giants coach Pat Shurmur admittedly didn't use rookie Saquon Barkley enough in the loss to the Saints last weekend.

Saquon Barkley has led the team in rushing and done almost all of the work out of the backfield, but he has yet to really break out in the form most expect he eventually will.

They have won both games at home this season and have the NFL's No. 1 rushing attack. He caught eight of his 14 targets for 131 yards and a touchdown.

Earlier this week, Bettcher spoke about Newton and the problems he presents with his running ability.

The Panthers improve to 3-1 with the win, a critical win in the competitive NFC South, while the Giants fall to 1-4. Latimer has the longest passing play of the season for the G-Men when he hauled 37-yard yard pass against the Cowboys.
