Nick Saban blasts Alabama defense after Arkansas rout

"Our message for this football team moving forward is we're going to come back in here (Sunday) and we're going to hit reset", Morris said.

Technically though, Tagovailoa still received credit for the touchdown pass, so he opened the game with a ideal completion percentage for two scores.

Jeudy beat man and zone schemes, and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was on the money with nearly all of his passes -deep, intermediate and short.

"I don't think you beat the other team when you give up 31 points like we did today, from a defense perspective".

Backup quarterback Cole Kelley threw the second touchdown, faking the run before pulling up and firing a 3-yard pass to O'Grady.

No.1 Alabama cruised to a 65-31 victory Saturday against Arkansas, but that wasn't enough for Nick Saban. "We didn't play very well as a unit".

Arkansas converted 6 of 12 third-down plays against Alabama, its best percentage of the year.

At the same time, the Razorbacks needed to play practically a flawless game to have a chance to pull off the upset. Tagovailoa has thrown 18 touchdown passes and no interceptions and has yet to throw a fourth-quarter pass.

Alabama came into Saturday having not been tested all season long and that trend continued against Arkansas. Alabama racked up 41 points and 463 yards of total offense. Their last nine opponents averaged only 5.1 first-half points.

Storey played one of his better games, completing 25 of 39 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns, but he did throw a pick-six. He is now 76-of-102 for 1,495 yards and has no interceptions on the year, and he has yet to play in a fourth quarter.

Despite quickly falling behind 21-0, there was actually a chance to Arkansas to make it interesting at one point early in the second quarter.

The Razorbacks did get two TDs inside the final 10 minutes.

Alabama got the ball back by forcing a fumble on the Razorbacks' opening series. Tua Tagovailoa had another big day, throwing for 334 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 pass attempts. Storey kept on second down, but was hit at the 1 and fumbled with Alabama recovering. The sophomore was a spectator for most of the second half. The replay showed Harris had reached the ball across the plane.

Not much has gone wrong for Alabama this season, but injuries on defense are beginning to pile up.

The Crimson Tide now have 16 of those drives this year.

That opportunity increased even more when Boyd swept 32 yards around the left side down to the Alabama 5.

A potential score would have closed the gap to 21-14 but instead Alabama went 99 yards on the ensuing drive to make it a 28-7 game and the route was on.
