Tanushree Dutta files police complaint against Nana Patekar, Ganesh Acharya

Mumbai: Tanushree Dutta on Saturday filed a police complaint against veteran actor Nana Patekar for allegedly sexually harassing her on the sets of a film in 2008, police said.

Meanwhile, MSCW has also sent a notice to the Mumbai Police inquiring about the action taken by them on the complaint registered by Tanushree. In the early evening, Mr Patekar told assembled media, "My lawyer has asked me to not talk to any channel, have to listen to him".

According to officials from the commission, a notice has also been shot to the Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA) to explain the procedure to redress sexual harassment complaints.

The women's commission has asked the police for an update of the investigation and has asked the actress to appear before it to record her statement. Tanushree makes shocking statement on her participation in Salman Khan's Show.

In the note, Tanushree Dutta stated that she filed her complaint under Sections 354, 354 (A), Section 34 and Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

She further said before shooting the song, which was supposed to be a solo song picturised only on her, she had clearly mentioned that she will not enact or perform any lewd, vulgar or uncomfortable steps. She also named choreographer Ganesh Acharya, director Rakesh Sarang and producer Sami Siddiqui as accomplices in the harassment she faced.

Former Miss Universe contestant Tanushree Dutta first alleged in 2008 that multi-award-winning Nana Patekar behaved inappropriately towards her during the making of a romantic comedy the same year.
