Here’s all the new hardware Google announced today

At the Google event, the company has launched the Pixel Slate alongside the two new smartphones, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

From hardware upgrades to (more) innovative software functions, the new Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have it all. If you're wondering why Google didn't spend any time talking about the Chromecast on-stage during its announcement, it's probably because, well, there's not much to talk about.

Google’s Pixel Slate tablet appears to leak in full ahead of Tuesday’s Pixel 3 event

No surprise, the first and biggest reveal of the day was Google's new flagship phone, the Pixel 3 and its bigger brother, the XL. Correct! Pixel Stand can also turn these Pixel 3 devices into digital frames which means you can display your favorite photos on your phone. It comes in three colors-Chalk, Charcoal, Aqua, and Sand.

The Pixel 3 will be available October 18 and sell at prices starting at $799. Interestingly, the phone also has a new Titan M security chip which Google has stated will help on-device protection for login credentials, disk encryption, app data, and the integrity of the operating system. When your phone rings, you'll be able to summon Google Assistant with the tap of a button and have Duplex ask callers their name and objective.

After all the leaks, the Pixel 3 and 3 XL are ... exactly like the leaks. They also include an "accessory connector for Pixel Slate Keyboard".

When it comes to performance and speed, the Pixel 3 XL and regular 3 are certain to be some of the best in the business.

In terms of ergonomics, both the devices feel more compact, in fact, nearly the same as the 2017 editions. Meanwhile, Samsung and LG remain among the few phonemakers that still offer a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack in their phones, obviating the need for such dongles.

Google Pixel 3 specifications Google Pixel 3 has a 5.5-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) flexible OLED screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. The tablet is also compatible with a smart pen which will also cost you an additional $99. The feature launches in the U.S. today, and it will come to other Pixel devices next month. If you're all about the highest-quality audio, you'll want to pick up a USB-C adapter - but you'll want to make sure it's compatible with this device specifically before you do.
