Apple Announces October 30th Event

Apple said it will hold a product announcement on October 30 in the NY borough of Brooklyn, likely to unveil new iPads and Mac computers.

Aside from the iPad Pro refresh, it is possible that Apple may unveil a new Mac Mini and MacBook Air.

Apple has invited the media to an October event in New York City on the 30 October with all clues pointing to the launch of a new iPad Pro. A month ago Apple launched its latest iPhones and Watch devices but it left the larger devices off the bill.

If you don't have a problem with that, you can now snap your Apple Watch on to the new charger as easily as ever, and connect that to a USB-C power adapter.

Upcoming refreshes to the iPad Pro and Mac computers could place emphasis on creative professionals as has been done in the past. But nothing there would encourage me to fire up the Apple Store app and use Apple Pay to beam a load of cash Apple's way in exchange for a new iPad Pro.

The 10.5-inch iPad Pro might be retired and replaced with an 11-inch version, while the 12.9-inch will still remain - both will have a smaller footprint of course thanks to the slimmer bezels. There won't be a Home button to press, either, but Face ID should support landscape orientation to make unlocking the new tablet even easier. Apple has developed a low-priced notebook with a Retina display, according to reports, and it would serve as a follow-up to the outdated MacBook Air.

Besides the obvious options of what Apple could show off, we may finally get to see some projects that have been put on the back burner.
