Winning numbers for $1 billion Mega Millions jackpot drawn

In January 2016, winning tickets from California, Florida and Tennessee shared a $1.6bn Powerball jackpot.

The next drawing will be Tuesday night.

The next drawing is Tuesday.

The 24 semi-weekly Mega Millions drawings have failed to produce a top victor since July 24, when an 11-member office pool in Santa Clara County, California, shared a US$543 million jackpot. New York, where there were four winners, had the most $1 million tickets drawn. Virgin Islands. An entry into the drawing costs $1. The annuity option guarantees more money, but it's paid over 29 years and also would result in a hefty tax bill. All players choose their option at the time of their ticket purchase. But that's not a jackpot victor.

The jackpot grew on Friday to $470m (£360m), with a lump sum value of $268.6m (£205.5m). The victor can also opt for a cash prize of more than $354 million, from which the federal government will take 25% right away, and more later.

The $1.6 billion estimated jackpot would be the largest prize in US history. The biggest Mega Millions jackpot won in 2018 was a $543 million jackpot. Each retailer will receive a bonus of $10,000, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. More than 1.3 million scholarships, grants and awards have been funded.

If someone does win, there's a chance we'll never know who they are. However, if nobody wins, that all-time record might be in play.

If you're itching to play before then, the Powerball drawing will be today. It's estimated to be worth $1 billion.

All we know so far is that there was one ticket in northern California that matched five out of six numbers, according to the California Lottery and ABC7.
