[Teams] Chelsea vs BATE Borisov: Confirmed Line-Ups From Stamford Bridge

Davide Zappacosta sped down the right flank in the second minute and cut the ball back to Loftus-Cheek who provided a clinical finish, steering a first-time shot just to the right of goalkeeper Denis Scherbitski without hesitation.

Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that Eden Hazard is ruled out of Chelsea's Europa League group stage clash with BATE on Thursday afternoon.

While it is pretty common for former players to come out and watch their beloved team in action but this is the second Premier League game in a row that Patrice Evra was spotted in the VIP box (he also watched the Newcastle United game).

Chelsea delivered a convincing performance despite Sarri making eight changes to the team that drew with Manchester United, as numerous players frustrated on the fringes of his squad were handed rare starts.

There were rare starts for Emerson, Gary Cahill, Andreas Christensen and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but that did not hold Chelsea back, who went ahead within just two minutes.

"The problem will be on Sunday, when we will play after 65 hours, so we need to change something", Sarri added.

Asked if he could remember a specific mistake he had made and learned from during his time as a coach in Italy, Sarri replied: "There are 100, I think". "Ask to play 16, 17?"

The Italian said: 'At the moment we have four midfielders for two positions, and three of them with the same characteristics, or better, three offensive midfielders. "In the offensive phase wonderful".

Sarri said in a press conference: "I'm very happy for him". It's normal. My problem remains the same. Damn the tactics, mentality, work rate etc etc etc that I keep hearing - bottom line, the boy scores goals, we need goals.
