Dodgers Host Boston Red Sox In Los Angeles

With the Dodgers facing a 2-0 deficit, Buehler shut out the Boston Red Sox for seven innings, holding the highest-scoring team in the majors to two measly singles.

Entering Game 4 of the World Series, the overriding question has to be which team has more left in the tank after the 7-hour, 20-minute endurance test that was Game 3. Yasiel Puig set the play in motion with a hard grounder up the middle. "I had an opportunity to end the game right there and it didn't happen".

Ian Kinsler is tagged out at the plate by Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes while trying to score the go-ahead run on a fly ball by Eduardo Nunez in the 10th inning.

"There's nothing they can say in that room to make me feel better", Kinsler said after Boston's 3-2 loss.

Said Red Sox manager Alex Cora: "It was just a bad night".

The blown save spoiled a brilliant outing from Dodgers rookie right-hander Walker Buehler, who gave up just two hits over seven scoreless innings. "So I'm not gonna have that on my conscious again", Jackson said.

Muncy connected off Nathan Eovaldi, who was in his seventh inning of relief.

The Red Sox took the lead in the top of the 13th when Brock Holt scored on anerror by Dodgers pitcher Scott Alexander.

He then went on to play for the Miami Marlins from 2012-2014, the New York Yankees from 2015-2016, and the Tampa Bay Rays for part of 2018 before joining the Red Sox. And Nunez hurt himself a final time in the bottom of the inning, when he hauled in a catch in foul territory on the third-base side, then fell into the stands.

Jackie Bradley Jr. ties the game at 1-1 for the Red Sox with a solo home run in the eighth inning.

A story in Bleacher Report quoted Red Sox pitching coach Dana LeVangie being frustrated with Manny Machado for stealing the Red Sox' signs in an obvious way during Game 2.
