The jackpot was downcasted slightly to $687.8 million, down from the Powerball's earlier estimate of $750 million.

WCAU-TV reports 87-year-old Earl Livingston was invited to join the hospital staff's lottery pool, which included a winning $1 million Mega Millions ticket. Powerball lottery tickets are sold in 44 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. A victor who opted for cash would get $428.6 million. Lottery officials said the winning tickets were sold in Arizona, Florida, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Wisconsin.

The victor or winners would also have a one-time cash option of $428.6 million - a prize that's still more than alright. It's not immediately clear if there is a victor for the fourth-largest jackpot in US history.

The Mega Millions jackpot had reached $1.5 billion when Kelley Brooks' husband texted her, reminding her to get a ticket for that night's drawing.

The Powerball jackpot has rolled over since it was last won in August, the lottery said.

The next Lotto 47 drawing is Saturday, Oct. 27, at 7:29 p.m. with a jackpot of $1.2 million. His ticket did not match the Mega Ball, but did match all five of the white ball numbers.

However, none of those players also played the Power Play option which would have increased their winnings to $2 million.
