Trump plans 11 rallies in final days of midterm campaign

Trump will be in Fort Myers with GOP nominee Ron DeSantis and Gov. Rick Scott on Halloween, and will be in Pensacola Saturday.

President Donald Trump makes a hard turn Wednesday from offering empathy to grief-stricken Pittsburgh to the fear and fury of a midterm election closing argument created to drive up Republican turnout despite the risk of deepening national divides.

Democrats would need a net gain of 24 seats in the House and two in the Senate to take majorities away from Mr Trump's fellow Republicans.

Missouri Republicans are not in danger of losing control of the state Legislature in this year's election although they said they are concerned about losing about a dozen legislative seats around the state's metropolitan areas.

"I'm proud and humbled to have President Obama, my friend and a true patriot, on the campaign trail here in Florida", Gillum said in a statement, according to the Miami Herald. "With President Obama's help, we're going to bring it home for Florida this November". McCaskill is a top target for Republicans seeking to expand the party's slim 51-49 edge in the U.S. Senate.

In the final six days, the president and his campaign committee will host 11 rallies across eight crucial States: Florida, Missouri, West Virginia, Indiana, Montana, Georgia, Tennessee and Ohio. The midterms are also often seen as a referendum on the president's performance. He is set to speak outside of Hertz Arena in Fort Myers and Pensacola International Airport late Saturday. Obama will appear Friday at Ice Palace Films Studios in Miami, with the Florida Democratic Party saying full details will be released later in the week.

Vice President Mike Pence was in Michigan Monday to stump for Republican candidates.

Republicans are outspending Democrats in races around the country for state legislatures - and by 5-1 in key battleground states, according to a new report.
