Alec Baldwin Arrested For Punching Man Over Parking Spot

Police officers confirmed the actor was arrested for a misdemeanor assault and is now being held at New York Police Department's 6th Precinct station house in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, according to Page Six. News the actor was being held in custody for allegedly punching a man over a parking spot.

The men were arguing and pushing each other before Baldwin turned violent, officials added. The victim is approximately 40-years-old and was taken to Lenox Hill hospital.

Representatives for Baldwin did not respond to a request for comment.

NBC News tweeted a video of the president on Friday afternoon where Trump told reporters that he wished Baldwin "luck" during his interaction with the police.

A witness told TMZ that Baldwin, who lives in the area, swore at the man during the row.

Look, it isn't exactly surprising that Alec Baldwin punched somebody.

Sure, driving in Manhattan is aggravating, but this is ridiculous, Alec Baldwin. He infamously left a voicemail for his then-11-year-old daughter Ireland, calling her a "thoughtless little pig".

In 2011, the former "30 Rock" star was removed from a flight after refusing to stop playing the game "Words With Friends" on his phone. After all, Baldwin portrays Trump on Saturday Night Live - and Baldwin's portrayal is anything but flattering.

Baldwin also received backlash in 2013 for lobbing a gay slur against a photographer attempting to capture his wife and infant son on camera. He was charged with battery, and later acquitted, in a case involving a photographer in the '90s.
