Quinnipiac poll shows Gillum, Nelson leading by 7 on eve of election

In a sea of white faces at a Florida campaign rally stirred to a froth by U.S. President Donald Trump, a woman named June and two friends stand out: they are among just a handful of black people cheering for him. Bill Nelson holds a 7-point lead over Republican challenger Gov. Rick Scott in the Florida Senate race, according to a new Quinnipiac poll released Monday.

In Miami, Obama said democracy can't work when words stop having meaning, encouraging a crowd of about 3,000 to vote for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum and Sen. The singer took to Instagram today, just two days before midterm elections on November 6 to voice her support of the candidate.

He added that "obviously" the network does not have vote totals the night before the election.

"I voted for you", she replied.

The former and current presidents are barnstorming the country ahead of the elections, in which Democrats hope to win control of the House of Representatives, gain Senate seats and pick up governor's mansions and state legislatures across the country ahead of the 2020 redistricting process.

The nation got an impossibly early peek at the outcome of the hotly-contested Florida governor's race on MSNBC - after the network mistakenly posted a graphic of the results before the polls even opened.

Trump covets the Senate seats held by Democrats Joe Donnelly of IN and Joe Manchin of West Virginia, two states that the president won handily IN 2016.

Gillum has refused to disavow the group while possibly angering 600,000 Jewish voters in the state, says David Caton of the Florida Family Association. The former president has been campaigning with Democrats in key battleground states.

Obama, who also spoke in Florida on Friday, called on voters to turn out for Democrat candidates and denounced efforts by Republicans to dismantle his political legacy. "I know a lot of people are waiting until tomorrow".

Twitter Inc said it had deleted more than 10,000 automated accounts posting messages that discouraged people from voting in Tuesday's elections and wrongly appeared to be from Democrats, after the party flagged the misleading tweets to the social media company.

DeSantis' shark logged 371.18 miles to the Gillum shark's 8.21 miles while Nelson's shark swam 785.27 miles to Scott shark's 130.88 miles. We're going to resoundingly reject that kind of politics.
