MTV EMAs: BTS Takes Home Award For 'Biggest Fans'

The 21-year-old Cuba-born singer is riding high, fresh from winning prestigious prizes at the MTV Video Music Awards in August - artist of the year and video of the year.

MTV recognized artists from around the globe with Worldwide Act awards and Best Local Act awards for multiple regions including Germany, Spain, Japan and Africa.

Janet Jackson is using her platform to empower women.

The night's top victor, Camila Cabello, picked up awards for best artist and best song, while Janet Jackson received the lifetime achievement award.

When his group won the best alternative award, Urie announced "this is going in my bathroom".

The singer was mobbed by adoring fans at the awards in Bilbao, Spain, where she was serenaded with her own hit song Havana.

Jackson spoke out against gender inequality and asked for female voices to be heard in her acceptance speech.

Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards heated up the stage with Nicki Minaj, with their single, "Woman Like Me". "Women who have been gagged, both literally and emotionally". Who have been abused. Women who have been intimidated.

"I feel like the message for me has always been just like do what makes you happy, even if it's scary, it's worth it to take the risk because your happiness is your responsibility", Cabello said. "You are my sisters". I hope this win will inspire the younger generation to never stop believing in their dreams and to work hard in trying to achieve their goals.
