Amazon to start selling latest Apple products

Earlier Amazon, despite being one of the largest online retail company, sold only limited Apple products that included Mac computers and Beats headphones.

The other service program is specific to 13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar) laptops equipped with 128GB and 256GB solid-state drives (SSDs) sold between June 2017 and June 2018.

The deal includes listings for the U.S., UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, and India, and they should begin appearing within the next few weeks.

It won't be long before we see more Apple products available through Amazon.

While this new agreement won't cover every currently-offered Apple device, it will include majority. Apple beat Wall Street's expectations for quarterly revenue and earnings per share, but shares fell after the company provided weaker-than-expected sales guidance for the holiday quarter and warned that it would stop disclosing how many iPhones it sells each quarter.

CNET, which confirmed these plans with Amazon, explains that once this partnership of sorts goes into effect, authorized resellers will be the only ones allowed to offer Apple's products through Amazon.

One Apple product that you won't find on Amazon is the Home Pod smart speaker. Amazon has taken a harder line on counterfeit goods as well. Any warehoused Apple inventory associated with non-Apple authorized sellers past January 4 must be returned - Apple doesnt play around.

News of the arrangement comes days after both Amazon and Apple reported mixed earnings results.

Approved Apple resellers have to buy a minimum amount of Apple product a year, which doesn't make sense for some smaller sellers.

The two companies have occasionally been at odds over the sale of Apple devices. This is because the device is a competitor to Amazon's category leading Echo devices.
