Kevin Spacey's Lawyers Say Victim Allowed Groping To Happen For Three Minutes

The complaint alleges that Spacey groped the then-18 year old and bought him alcohol. The alleged victim, 18 at the time, reportedly sent his girlfriend a Snapchat video showing Spacey touching the alleged victim "by his crotch".

Spacey purportedly bought the accuser numerous alcoholic drinks and later unzipped his trousers and assaulted him when he became intoxicated, the teen told police. Jackson also said Unruh's son made no effort to move away from Spacey.

Kevin Spacey presents the award for excellence in television at the BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards in October 2017. "Did you?" Spacey says in the video.

Spacey's Los Angeles-based attorney Alan Jackson told the judge that Unruh's son did not move away from Spacey or tell him to stop.

His sister told police that after he got home, she woke up to find him sitting on the end of her bed breathing heavily and that he said, "Kevin Spacey just raped me". The two had exchanged numbers earlier in the night.

Spacey, who has more than a number of criminal investigations pending against him in other jurisdictions, is to be formally charged with felony sexual assault on January 7th.

Additionally, actor and Broadway star Anthony Rapp claimed in an interview with BuzzFeed News last year that he tried to proposition him for sex at a house party when he was only 14 years old.

Spacey's lawyers said at a show-cause hearing last week that the video shows someone's hand touching another person's shirt, but does not show anyone being groped, according to the Boston Globe, which obtained an audio recording of the hearing.

Former news anchor Heather Unruh came forward in November 2017 to say the actor stuck his hand down the trousers of her son, who was 18 at the time, and grabbed his genitals at the Club Car Restaurant on Nantucket in July 2016.

Unruh said her son didn't report the assault right away because he was embarrassed. Regardless, he says, viewers "want me back".

According to the Barnstable County Superior Court clerk's office, Spacey is facing a charge of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over.

The Boston Globe reports that Kevin Spacey's legal team claims that alleged sexual assault victim couldn't have actually been assaulted because he let Spacey grope him for three minutes. Spacey, speaking to the camera as his "House of Cards" character Frank Underwood, who was killed off in the show's sixth and final season.

The accusations came on the tail of freaky video Spacey produced in which he seemingly addressed the accusations indirectly and did so as his House of Cards character, Francis Underwood.

"You wouldn't believe the worst without evidence, would you?" he said in the video. "You wouldn't rush to judgments without facts, would you?" asks the actor. Did you? All this presumption made for such an unsatisfying ending and to think it could have been such a memorable send off. He later adds, "If I didn't pay the price for the things we both know I did do, I'm certainly not going to pay the price for the things I didn't do".
