Stranger Things Season 3 Release Date Announced With New Teaser And Poster

An image featuring July 4th fireworks, the show's heroes, and the same tagline as the teaser suggests the action will indeed take place on Independence Day in 1985.

With a new year came an all-new teaser for the upcoming Season Three of Stranger Things, which also included the reveal that the episodes will debut on Netflix on July 4th.

Fans have been waiting for the Stranger Things 3 release date for what seems like forever. Starcourt Mall looks like it's going to be a major new location in the third season. The date was confirmed January 1 with an Independence Day-themed poster showing Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown) holding hands with Mike (Finn Wolfhard) as other characters admire fireworks bursting in the distance.

Series regulars Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) are all there.

Netflix dropped a poster for the new season on Twitter captioned: "One summer can change everything".

Cary Elwes and Jake Busey will join the series in guest star roles.

Stranger Things 3 is coming next Fourth of July!

It announces the new setting of summer 1985.

The footage is intermittently interrupted as Clark narrates the Times Square ball slowly dropping and then is flipped upside down by the end - a nod to the show, of course.

Fans who were quick on the PAUSE button noted that certain words in the code were highlighted, and the message read, "When blue and yellow meet in the west".
