Kelly' Premiere Dominates Twitter and Makes Everyone Uncomfortable

A new documentary series explores the singer's history along with allegations that he sexually abused women and girls.

John Legend is the rare exception, stepping up whereas others like Jay Z and Lady Gaga declined to participate.

Legend, who appeared briefly in the premiere episodes of the project that aired on Thursday, was praised for being "courageous" enough to participant in the series. "I believe these women and don't give a f-k about protecting a serial child rapist. That makes John Legend even more of a hero for me". According to a tweet from Chris J. Scruggs, who posted a screenshot of Bruce's profile on the Illinois Department of Corrections inmate database, R. Kelly's older brother was admitted to the Vandalia Correctional Center on July 7, 2016, and first became eligible for parole in December 2017.

Join us on Vero, as we get under the skin of global cultural happenings. "I like older women, go figure, you know". These survivors deserved to be lifted up and heard. Or more to the point, they could corroborate what the women said about Kelly. She gave me a look like she wanted me to talk to her. R. Kelly isn't someone like Bill Cosby, who incurred national attention about sex crimes after a joke about the semi-obscure charges against him went viral. "Robert was having sex with Aaliyah", continued Cunningham, who added, "I feel protective of Aaliyah right now, which is why I can't get my mouth to say... he destroyed a lot of people".

The three-night Lifetime series, "Surviving R. Kelly", brings together Kelly's accusers and inner circle to detail the artist's life that the network described as "riddled with rumors of abuse, predatory behavior, and pedophilia".

Martinez was just 17 when she and a girlfriend spotted Kelly roaming around a Florida shopping mall, and they nearly didn't believe their eyes, she says.

We just hope this disagreement doesn't take the focus off what really matters and that is the complete cancelation of R. Kelly. The Chicago-based journalist Jim DeRogatis has spent years shining a light on allegations of Kelly's sexual misconduct, and in the years since, other parents have come forward to DeRegatis alleging that Kelly was keeping their young daughters in a sex "cult".

The singer claims he is in possession of two recordings which prove Lifetime bosses were aware that some of the girls on film are lying about their experiences with the R&B star "but that the budget was too high" to erase their involvement.
