Apple tipped to release three-camera 'iPhone XI' in 2019

Apple tipped to release three-camera 'iPhone XI' in 2019

But it's worth noting that OnLeaks claimed these renders are from the early Engineering Validation Test (EVT) stage, so the design is still subject to change.

Frankly, I think the setup looks ugly and doesn't seem to borrow from the company's elegant industrial design thinking. The iPhone Xs and Xs Max are still dual-camera phones, but Apple has been known to be late to the game.

The leaks come from a site called Digit and, according to the site, have been confirmed by other leakers on Twitter to be exactly the iPhone Apple is planning to launch in 2019. The three lenses, flash, and microphone are placed inside a square, similar to Huawei's Mate 20 Pro, though the lens arrangement is different to its rival's handset, and the array is placed in the upper corner rather than in the center of the phone. "However, given the drastic change in the camera setup, this, most probably, is our closest look at the top of the line 2019 iPhone". Which means Apple could revise the design before starting production ready for the annual launch in September. Recently, leaks showed that Apple might release one soon, but while we're waiting for an official announcement, another company has just announced its version of the desired product.

We heard first of a TOF lens in Oppo R17 Pro previous year, but the technology seemed ahead of its time.

TOF or Time of Flight technology is basically the time taken for the light to bounce back off an object to create a 3D map.

It is thought that the odd alignment might have something to do with apple adopting a 3D camera sensor for its next phone. The first picture of the alleged iPhone XI reveals a great news for the iPhone lovers. The effect this will have on the 2019 iPhones remains to be seen.

Digit believes the render shows one of the higher end devices.
